Who we are
About Nat Rowsell
My name is Nat and I am the creator of My Brain Buddy - which is dear to my heart. I come to you with a rich and colourful life experience living and working in remote NT and the last 18 years in SA. I’ve been working with people, families and communities to try and level the playing field for those that struggle to fit in, not just because we all deserve to be included but to embrace and celebrate diversity because it makes the world a better place.
We are all different and we are all normal. For me Neurodiversity is just another NORMAL and it enriches our lives, families and communities. The challenge is that our operating systems in modern society are mostly inflexible and suited to neurotypical people, and this can make it really hard for people who don’t think or operate in the same way.
My partner, Mark is Autistic and both my grandsons are also. They are diagnosed and receive NDIS supports because the level of their Autism impacts their ability to function well in our world. Many of us, if not all of us are on the spectrum but we don’t notice because we have built adaptive coping strategies to manage our day to day lives ... this is called resilience.
My Brain Buddy Resilience Skills Course is here to help you identify where you need help and learn some strategies to build your ability to manage whatever is going on for your family. Understanding neurodiversity and how to build resilience will help you to succeed even when you are feeling like a round peg in a square hole.
I am an experienced facilitator, resilience skills trainer and have qualifications in workplace training, counselling, and social sciences but I am not the expert in your life, that is you!
